The Strangest Quidditch Match Ever

THE STRANGEST QUIDDITCH MATCH EVER

It was a strangely cold summer morning, the usual breeze had died and an unusual and unshifting mist had settled. It was almost like flying on a broom through the clouds over the great lake at Hogwarts during early spring. Except in my case, I was nowhere near Hogwarts, nor zooming past the great lake and undoubtedly it was not early spring.

I left home unprepared against such a peculiar weather. Not late after, I started shivering as though Nearly Headless Nick drifted through me. I sat waiting on the bench I usually sit. Waiting for something I couldn't quite remember. With a weather as today's keeping a straight head is as tough as finding the longer length of a blanket. No matter how hard you struggle, you always end up leaving a leg out.

Disoriented and grumpy, I sat there all alone on a bench in the middle of mysteriously misty nowhere waiting for something I don't remember at all. Before I could remember, something stranger than the already strange day happened. It was a murder.

A Murder of crows, perched everywhere I could see in the mist covered scenery. Atop the branches, over the power lines, one even sat right next to me all looked at me with an expectation in their eyes, like the kids at a magic show waiting for the wizard to pull a rabbit out of a hat. But why would some crooked crows which looked menacingly intelligent than normal crows look at me with such anticipation? I wondered. It wasn't long before I realized they were looking at something above my head, as I slowly gazed upon, I heard the crows flap. Two crows with the meanest looks of all lunged towards me at full thrust, and before I could react WHACK!!

A crow just caught something shiny the size of pepper with wings from about a few inches above my head and I was just losing my mind. At this point I was losing it! There were crows playing a game of quidditch. That too in the middle of a muggle society! Of course, There were 7 crows celebrating around the crow that just caught the snitch from above my head. A few were flying around cawing with resentment. Seems like a team had won. Then again the crows took positions, they were starting another match! I was on cloud nine. I couldn't believe I was seeing what I was seeing! There was a snitch, a Quaffle and two Bludgers. There was also a refree counting the points. As the match started I had started cheering without even my knowledge, It sure was amazing to look at crows playing quidditch with such skill.

"Padfoot! Hey Padfoot! The bus is here. You're gonna walk alone if you keep snoring" yelled a voice. "Prongs!" I asked groggily. "Wake up sunshine." he replied. we were sitting on the bench. The mist has cleared, although it was a little chill. We weren't alone anymore, there were people walking down the road and some sat on the nearby benches, but there was no sight of a single crow anywhere. As we waited for the bus, I told prongs about the strange quidditch match I had witnessed, he couldn't help but laugh out loud. When he reached the bench, I had been dozed off already and there wasn't a crow around. "Although I must appreciate your creativity, absolute masterpiece! you should start writing you know." He joked off. Disappointed, I sat by the window in the bus.

Just before our bus took off, I saw a crow. Just one crow standing on the bench where I was snoring a while ago. It winked at me, A clear, mischievous wink and then the bus took off!
